Senior Gelato Artisan & Baker
Job Duties:
Produce gelato and sorbets according to Lola’s authentic recipes
Expertise in the art of gelato making; writing and balancing recipes, base aging, mixing and extracting
Has a strong grasp of producing and baking doughs, pastries and cookies from scratch
Assists with decorating cakes, cookies and pastries with precision and attention to detail
Follow production protocols and maintain quality standards
Assist with setting up baked goods and gelato areas of retail shop
Maintains a sanitized, organized and efficient work environment
Inventory management for BOH and FOH
Follow and update strict production schedules
Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
Teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently
Reliable and punctual
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Ability to lift 30-50 lbs
Ability to operate and sanitize commercial equipment
Employment Terms: Permanent, Full-time, 40 hours/week
Language Requirements: English
Wage: $18-$20/hr
Hours: M-F, 5am - 1pm, with on-call periods during peak seasons
